2. Wet floating island: roughly divided into four generations of technology.
2.1. Mainly built with bamboo and geonet, it has the characteristics of low cost, poor effect, short service life, and inability to maintain (note: with the increase of labor costs, this method currently has no cost advantage)
2.2 Mainly foam or foam plus metal fastener products, which have the advantages of low cost, simple manufacturing process, etc., but lack of strength, easy separation of metal foam, and white pollution of foam itself has been basically not applied (especially after plastic restriction order)
2.3. Mainly PE products, usually 9-11 square meters, with floating bodies similar to bread rings and split planting baskets. Although they overcome the shortcomings of the previous two generations, the quality and lifespan of floating island products produced by different manufacturers vary, and industry standards need to be established.
2.4. The main component is the new material floating island, where plant roots and floating island materials can be dissolved into one, and the material itself is a hollow tubular structure that can form a good water micro dynamic cycle. At present, the representative products are American products, which have no application in China due to material patent barriers and currently have high prices.
